As a leading enterprise in the heavy-duty transportation equipment manufacturing sector, Shandong Yufei Special Vehicle Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Yufei Trailer”) successfully joined the ranks of national-level “little giant” enterprises, thanks to its outstanding performance in core technology research and development, deep cultivation of niche markets, and product quality control. According to data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, over 12,000 enterprises nationwide participated in the application process, but only slightly over a thousand were ultimately selected, resulting in a selection rate of less than 10%, highlighting the prestige of this honor.
With 15 years of experience in the trailer manufacturing industry, Yufei Trailer has consistently positioned itself as a company focused on “heavy-duty transportation equipment and creating exceptionally reliable products.” It has built a solid technological foundation in specialized heavy-duty transportation sectors such as coal, mining, and infrastructure. Since 2018, the company has maintained R&D investment at over 5.2% of its annual revenue, far exceeding the industry average of 3.1%. The company serves over 2,000 large logistics companies, including Anjie Logistics and Yuancheng Logistics, as well as key infrastructure units such as China Railway Construction Corporation and China Communications Construction Company. Its customized trailer products have been successfully used in national key projects such as the Xiong’an New Area infrastructure construction and the coal transportation for the Menghua Railway, cumulatively saving customers over 300 million yuan in transportation and maintenance costs.
“Being selected as a national-level ‘specialized, refined, and innovative’ small and medium-sized enterprise is both an honor and a heavy responsibility for Yufeng,” said the chairman of Yufeng Trailer at the company’s celebration ceremony. “We will take this as a new starting point. In the next three years, we plan to increase our R&D investment ratio to 7%, focusing on two cutting-edge areas: hydrogen energy heavy-duty trailers and intelligent connected transportation systems. At the same time, we will expand our intelligent manufacturing workshop in Jining, Shandong, increasing the production capacity of core components by 50%.” He revealed that the company has collaborated with the School of Automotive Engineering at Chang’an University to jointly establish a “Joint Laboratory for New Energy Technology in Heavy-Duty Trailers.” The first batch of hydrogen energy trailer prototypes is expected to complete road testing in the second quarter of 2026.
